about

Hey, we are Gaïa Hygge, a jewellery brand not like the rest.

First of all, we are to present ourselves. We are Lora Azza and Dimitri Dimov, two visual artists working as a co-operative and living as one. Our artistic work can be find here and there.

Gaïa Hygge is our jewellery brand inspired by art and contemporary life. Our team is based in Strasbourg, France

We have always had an attraction to jewellery and an innate love of working with our hands. We draw
inspiration from contemporary life, art, nature, places we have visited, as well as from immersive apprenticeships with traditional artisans. In 2016 we were ready to start our signature line of handmade jewellery so we launched
Gaïa Jewellery Brand, which grew organically to become Gaïa Hygge Jewellery in 2017. Our studio is located in Strasbourg, in the heart of Europe, where all the jewellery is still handcrafted today. Nature and craftsmanship
remain the two pillars of our business. It is important for us that our pieces are made, from design to production, by a beautiful team of people who love what they do.

Balance and colour coordination is of primary concern for us.
Our nature-inspired or contemporary art- inspired designs will be your go-to everyday piece or the one to dazzle on your special day.

We use sterling silver, 14k gold/gold filled, bronze, copper, aluminum and brass. All handcrafted pieces are made one by one, by hand, by us. Because each piece is crafted by hand, there might be slight variations in each piece.
These variations and nuances are to be expected and meant to be enjoyed!

Bring some Hygge into your daily life!

And now, what the heck is Hygge?

The Danish word, pronounced «  hue-guh », is usually translated into English as « cosiness ». But it’s so much more than that! “Hygge literally only requires consciousness, a certain slowness, and the ability to not just be present
– but recognize and enjoy the present. That’s why so many people distill ‘hygge’ down to being a ‘feeling’ – because if you don’t feel hygge, you probably aren’t using the word right.” (Hyggehouse.com) Though there are many
ways to describe hygge, we see it simply as the Danish ritual of enjoying life’s simple pleasures. Friends. Family. Graciousness. Contentment. Good feelings. A warm glow. Certainly, hygge is intrinsic to the Danish lifestyle,
but this feeling of well-being, so deeply satisfying and cosy, is something we all experience, each in our own way.

To keep your Gaïa Hygge’s products in their best quality we recommend:

No or little water contact/ No or little sun exposure/ Wear with pleasure and confidence

Athens, Barcelona, Mulhouse, Sofia, Strasbourg, more to be announced!
